Harry and Olivia are pulling out all the stunts in Italy these past two days, as she apparently jetted over to meet him after he wrapped filming for My Policeman, where he was spotted cruising down a Venetian canal and holding hands with the lovely David Dawson.
This is supposed to be romantic and idyllic, but something about them makes my eyeball twitch.
I suppose I’ll never believe anyone is truly worthy of dating Harry Styles. He always seems to pick people that I simply can’t stomach to see him with. Yup, you guessed it: I’m gonna be blunt and spill all my true feelings about Holivia that I’ve been holding back. And I really don’t care that people like Holivia or hope that it works out. I sure don’t feel that way.
Alright, I’ll just say it because I know we’re all thinking it: Something about Holivia feels opportunistic and inappropriate. It’s almost too convenient a PR stunt for their upcoming movie for it to be true. And Olivia has a lot to do with why I feel that way.
This isn’t the first time she’s been linked romantically with a male co-star (hence Justin Timberlake and Bradley Cooper.) Don’t get me wrong, I’m not insinuating that she’s a slut or something, just that she is quite familiar with the PR game (as is Harry.) But with her being the filmmaker of this upcoming film Harry was cast in, it raises questions of authenticity.
No, it doesn’t bother me just because she got with Harry after ending a 7-year engagement to the father of her children and reportedly blindsiding him with the news of the separation.
And, no, it’s not because she was seen weirdly hugging him and clinging to him after the split in a manner I can only describe as manipulative.
Uh….
And, no, it’s not even because she’s 10 years Harry’s senior.
I think my consternation about them hooking up comprises a few different facts, really.
1) She was his boss. It seems grossly inappropriate that they started sleeping together following (and likely during) a professional relationship of this dynamic.
It is distastefully similar to filmmaker Rupert Sanders cheating on his wife Liberty Ross of 11 years with Kristen Stewart in 2012, who was 19 years his junior and also dating her Twilight costar Robert Pattinson at the time.
What’s really fucked up and low about this, is that Liberty Ross wasn’t even out-of-sight/out-of-mind at the time it happened. She literally had a role in the very movie this took place on! Look at her poor little filmography:

Holivia gives me the same vibes unfortunately. Both situations involved: a massive age gap, an on-set affair that damaged a long-term relationship WITH 2 KIDS! Plus the filmmaker (director/boss) stooping so low as to sleep with a subordinate.
I mean these relationships had to violate every sexual harassment law on the books that forbid relationships between bosses and subordinates, right? Amirite? (I get that those laws probably don’t apply to Hollywood, but it doesn’t make it any less inappropriate.)
Quid Pro Quo, Clarice, Quid Pro Quo.
2) Number Two for why Holivia rubs me the wrong way: She appears in his historical, groundbreaking Vogue article (why was that honor even given to her after such a short period of time?) in what amounts to nothing but an uber transparent movie plug for DWD (like…why? Just why? It was his moment, not hers. Getting the PR started early I see. Planting the seed, so to speak.)
While speaking of Harry’s Dunkirk role she goes: “Blew me away—the openness and commitment”—it’s just like girl shut all the way up. He had all of five lines in that film and I doubt any of them moved you profoundly. Spare us that generic praise, please. We all know you didn’t want him in your movie for his impeccable acting ability. Like any other filmmaker, you wanted someone who would fulfill your blockbuster fantasies and knew that hiring one of the biggest popstars on the planet would singlehandedly see this accomplished.
“In turn, Style loved Wilde’s directorial debut”—yeah, sure you did, Harry. (Can you hear my eyes rolling? I think they may’ve gotten stuck.) All this nonsense shoehorned into his Vogue article manages to somehow be worse than the contrived slipper anecdote about Camille planted in his 2019 Rolling Stone article. (Be more conspicuous, PR teams, I dare you.)
3) She inserted herself into his controversy with Candice (again, why? Just why?)
Call me old-fashioned but I’d reckon it’s abundantly clear: That there feller likes men! Prefers them even!
My friend (and you know who you are!) sent this to me and said it would be Olivia and Harry next. Eye-
4) Harry seems to be performing with Olivia in public, starting with the hand-hold gimmick at Jeff’s wedding, which was hella out of character for him. Makes me question what he’s trying to prove suddenly?
5) Harry doesn’t seem super into her, although he’s still keeping up a concerted (albeit half-hearted) charade with her for some reason.
The issues that make this situation feel off for me are genuinely concerning, and not just the result of me grasping at straws to discredit her. When I see her I just feel…idk how to explain it.
Again, the Jason drama and the fact that she has 2 kids unnerves me…urghhh! I just don’t like her potentially using Harry as a rebound or a new prospect to boost her career because of his global fame and success. History has demonstrated that Harry is rather easy to take advantage of, and people in Hollywood can sniff out emotional vulnerability like vicious bloodhounds on the hunt.
There was already a power imbalance established because Harry was seeking to please her in order to do well in his role. Same with how he admitted he was intimidated by Christopher Nolan and wanted to do well for him. That power imbalance exists naturally when someone is older and wiser than you, then add in the fact that she was his boss and it leaves me nauseous.
I don’t care how much Harry likes her and I don’t care how he likes to say “to each their own” when it comes to age gaps, and I don’t care that he likes to date older partners. He can do whatever he wants and we can’t stop him, but it doesn’t mean we have to shut up about it. We know Harry has a track record of problematic relationships (dating Caroline Flack when he was 17 and she was 32) and well also “homewrecking” (although he was technically with Zayn first and things just got muddy and complicated when Perrie came along.)
Therefore, despite reading loads of Alain de Botton, Harry is apparently not the best judge of what constitutes an appropriate or healthy romantic relationship, seeing as how he has barely been in a serious relationship for longer than a few months at a time, and they have all been heavily PR driven. But that’s celeb culture for you.
Sure, I don’t know him and I’m not allowed to have a say in his love life. Of course, duh, we all know this. And I love him very much (obviously) but if this scenario with Jason is true in the least, then I am very disappointed in him. Not to mention he could do soooooo much better than another man’s sloppy seconds.
I just can’t stand to see Olivia’s preening face looking like the cat who ate the canary; knowing how vulnerable and damaged he is. There’s such an obnoxious “Look, mom, I’ve landed a pop-star!” aura about her that doesn’t sit right with me in that CCTV footage. Much like Gigi Hadid exploiting the closeted and mentally tormented Zayn for clout. Yuck, yuck, yuck.
In brighter news, Jason is reportedly now dating his co-star Keeley Hazell from the set of Ted Lasso, so we don’t have to worry about him being lonely and miserable.
Despite them mostly being photographed in the same positions as Holivia, they somehow manage to look more believable. (Yeah I said it.)
Surprisingly, they first met on the set of Horrible Bosses 2 back in 2014, and kept things platonic ever since. She’s seated next to him in the red bikini at 3:25 in the clip below:
Their new gig Ted Lasso is described by IMBD as a show that: “Follows U.S. American football coach Ted Lasso who heads to the U.K. to manage a struggling London football team in the top flight of English football.” What’s funny is that years before this ever became a show, Jason did a skit as this character:

Harry pretending he doesn’t want photos or videos taken of him and Olivia is the moral equivalent of Gigi saying she wants to protect Khai yet posting her 8,000 times since the day she was born. If Harry genuinely wanted “privacy” he wouldn’t be parading Olivia (who is another celebrity) through the streets of Italy where he was just filming and had tons of press following him. And he wouldn’t be eating outside in public. Him telling fans not to take pics is just a weakass, age-old Hollywood tactic to make their relationship seem “real,” as if he’s trying to “protect” her, which is idiotic since they were in a movie together and keep walking the streets together, far more than he and Camille ever did. Also, he has no right to tell people not to take pics of him in public places. Give it a rest. Like, I just can’t take the bullshit anymore from all parties.

Thought H looked much softer/more like himself in the pics solo and with fans from the football match. The fan feedback was all positive which was nice. But H looked tired/low energy, bit puffy round eyes (maybe sinus/hayfever?) and his left eye was drifty. Interesting to see more physical distance between then. In front on pap pic, H looked as if he was closer to the sitting lady in front of him than to ‘o who seemed seem an arm’s length away. Also between his hat, sunnies, mask and hand over his mask there wasn’t much of H’s face to see. Reminding me of Z really … happy genuine pics with fans and lacking energy low participation factor “relationship” shots. Kinda crazy the likeness … or maybe not if you think about it …
I never, ever thought there would come a time where I was dreading opening social media to find out what H and Z have been up to. I actually feel so nervous in case there’s more pictures of them with their “partners”. I don’t know what’s going on with H but he’s getting so many bad comments about how he’s changed since he met O. People saying they’re unstanning, being called a homewrecker and also people saying he’s queer baiting! I know he’s been working hard and deserves a break but he should have left Italy and went somewhere like Jamaica where he couldn’t be noticed parading around with O. It’s like he wants to be seen with her to let the world know she’s his gf but why not just come out and confirm that? What a mess

Harry is getting ready for his next album. He would end this before the release of the album and all the heart breaking songs would scream Olivia to the world. I’m pretty sure he would make every song seems like it’s about his heart break after Olivia. He is trying hard to save Zayn
Considering what everyone in the world has been thru … entering into a PR relationship just to sell a movie doesn’t rate on my mist of priorities. But he look tired, stressed and so done with all the shit. Deep down, I feel there’s something bothering him genuinely. Idk if its their relationship or c safety (since the attacks). To be honest, real or fake, this relationship feels wrong. I dislike how O seems to enjoy it way too much. She’s a classic good/bad press is still press. But so far, she’s just dealing with crap bc she is “dating” H. Her actions otherwise seem to go by unnoticed. While H went from easy going and unproblematic, to a man that appears to have a chip on his shoulder (aka Olivia 😂).
Whatever they are, it’s seems force and way too fast considering how it started and what had to end. With Zarry, I believe that H is tired of being the one waiting and getting hurt along the way. He’s tired of putting his heart out for Z and still having to play this long and lonely game. The baby, and Z still unable to make a move even thou he seems to want to, I think H made his move: Holivia. Harry’s PR move was thru pain n emotion not thru a thought out plan. I don’t know, trying to make sense of this….
The pictures from Italy are a joke, Harry show run as far away as possible from Olivia. Their was a pic of Harry in Italy with a white jacket and a gold cross with the banana penis necklace on. If the were in a committed relationship why the hell would he wear something like that? This is just PR bullshit and it feels creeping on Olivia’s part. I believe she is hurting Harry’s reputation by being with him. It all doesn’t make sense to me.
I’m not happy or thrilled about this relationship at all whatever form it may take. But I feel like Harry just wants a relationship. He wants someone who clings on to him and makes a big deal about him because he has never had that. And the person he wants to be open with doesn’t want that. So I feel at this point Harry just wants to feel loved. And when you have O (who I believe pursued him) defending him on Twitter and praising him in the media for being who he wants to be and his non-toxic masculinity,why wouldn’t he be attracted to that. But like I said in my earlier comment. I think he is losing himself in this relationship just to feel “loved” and feel like he is in a relationship.
In addition to everything AD said, what also bothers me about H is that he himself seems to be backtracking on being open. H has said he does not consider himself bi. I though that maybe he might consider himself non-binary but I also thought because he likes to wear women’s apparel he might consider himself queer. H has liked women’s apparel for years. Some of the tops he wore towards the end of 1D were women’s blouses.
The longer he is with O, I see less of that side of him. He still does his nails but I haven’t seen him in women’s clothes or with a purse unless it’s a photo shoot or ad campaign. He had a bag at the BRITS but he was advertising a look for Gucci. If this is really a part of who H is he seems to be losing that in this relationship. I just want him to go on tour so he can get away from all of this.
I think Olivia is just a very good friend who play the PR game to help Harry and of course she has benefits of it as well. The day Zayn released NIL, Olivia posted a picture of a tightrope. It was subtle but it said anything. She knows about Zarry.
I have always thought that Harry’s team have him on a “5 year” plan, which means get him where Justin Timberlake is/was or better, top of the music charts and better, more diversified movie roles etc… In order for him to get to the top of the “A” list, I think he has to put on this personna,.. a little risque, but not full out which may derail everything, so, that would include a PR relationship, which, like Camille, once he starts touring, he can pretty much let it go and have an excuse for the “breakup” and fodder for HS3
holivia can’t afford to piss jason off .. he’s a well connected actor producer and he’s the father of her two children so she’s like we are just taking a break from each other ..no badblood .. but on the other hand she’s clearly invested in her new relationship 😏 .. it’s the harry “effect” on women lol olivia is trying to play it safe on the both side .. this whole dating thing is just a PR stunt for harry and will likely end when he say so ..

Olivia abused her position as director by enticing Harry into a romantic relationship. She set her sights on him. I have no doubt she pursued him. Harry was too professional to pull a stunt (again, no pun intended) like that. And it’s sad because he is mixed up in this drama where people are viewing him differently and saying he’s changed. He has taken on a decidedly more “masculine” look. He looks different in the face, in his carriage, his gait. He doesn’t look soft like he did most of the FineLine era when he was still in love with and singing for Zayn. He looks angry. Many of you feel that Harry is lashing out at Zayn. I think that is spot-on and a very big part of why we’re seeing Harry act uncharacteristically different. He was already vulnerable when she offered him the role, and she pounced on that vulnerability. AD told us how she insinuated herself early on with the comments in Vogue and the Candace Owens debacle. It’s like she couldn’t stop butting into Harry’s life. She already had impure intentions while pursuing him on a level devoid of professionalism. So done with “Faux-livia.😒
Harry seems to be more interested in the man walking past their table. Olivia looks bored or pissed off. It will be interesting to see how Holivia goes while Harry is on tour.
