In June of 2016, mere months after a former Epic Records (Sony) music executive went public in April 2016 about being sexually harassed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Olivia Wilde signed on to direct their music video for the 2016 song “Dark Necessities.” Gotta love that timing.

If the internet and media can call out and deplatform celebrities for simply not subscribing to popular political viewpoints and for daring to think independently (people who have committed zero crimes, mind you) then they can also call out convicted sexual predators who happen to be popular musicians, as well as the fake feminists who openly worked with them to further their careers.

So, uh…this Olivia Wilde and Anthony Kiedis thing is far worse than I originally suspected. And it’s not just Kiedis who is a remorseless scumbag who she effusively praised, it’s all the other original members of RHCP too. They have all been convicted in a court of law as a result of some form of sexual assault or another. That includes Anthony Kiedis, Flea the bass guitarist, and Chad Smith the drummer. Bunch of ugly, crusty fucking perverts.

If Olivia Wilde cared for women in the least (which she has gained social accolades over the years for pretending she does) she would immediately delete her heaps of social media posts praising these convicted sexual predators, disavow them publicly, and then apologize for shamelessly working with so many abusers of women in order to further her career.

Don’t hold your breath, though. Of course she’s too much of a self-serving hypocrite to actually do any of the above. It’s clear to me she knew what these men were guilty of before she signed on to work with them, and never took their misdeeds and infamy into consideration because she stood to gain from the association. Sort of like her continued association with Harvey Weinstein despite his sexual depravity being an open secret in Hollywood for years before Ronan Farrow flamed him in 2017.

Call her out for this and stop wasting your time on her flippant homophobic remarks and her “edgy humor”. This is valid criticism of a woman who wears feminism like a removable costume, disregarding and misinterpreting it whenever it’s convenient for furthering her career.

The Facts:

In his 2005 autobiography “Scar Tissue” the Red Hot Chili Peppers lead singer, Anthony Kiedis, unapologetically admitted to having sex with a 14 year old Catholic school girl when he was a 23 year old adult. He also admitted to knowing she was 14 before he slept with her. In the United States of America, that is a crime. Minors cannot consent to sexual acts by virtue of the fact that they’re not adults.

“In 1989, during the band’s Mother’s Milk tour, Kiedis was convicted of sexual battery after a show at George Mason University. According to the accusation, he exposed himself and touched his crotch to a woman’s face against her wishes. Kiedis was also convicted of indecent exposure and was fined $1,000 on each misdemeanor charge. An archived contemporary article from The Washington Post confirms the charge.” (He was factually charged with sexual battery.)

According to his book (Scar Tissue) Anthony Kiedis also admittedly had another inappropriate, sexually exploitative, emotionally abusive relationship with a different minor named Ione Skye before she was 16 years old. Which would again make any relations between them legally RAPE.

He also included a topless photo of her in his autobiography, which based on the timeline of their relationship would be considered child pornography.

“During the same time period, Julie Farman, a former associate director of media and artist relations for Epic Records recounted a meeting with RHCP that led to her being sexually harassed by two unspecified members of the band. After the meeting, she took the two unnamed members to Epic Records storage room to show them where boxsets and CDs were kept. They pressed up against her and “told[her] about all of the ways [they] could make a super sexy sandwich.” Farman ran out of the room distraught.“

The  A&R guy was a friend, though, and after an hour of talking about it,  I reluctantly agreed to attend.  At the meeting, I did a credible impression of a person who didn’t think the Chili Peppers were complete shit;  I talked enthusiastically about strategy, artist development and press campaigns, and I presented ideas on further establishing their image.  None of them involved wearing socks on their dicks.

After the meeting,  I took two of the Chili Peppers to the storage room, where we kept the box sets and CDs,  to get the standard sign-with-us swag.  As we looked in a cabinet, they pressed up against me and told me about all of the ways we could make a super sexy sandwich.

At first I thought they were joking. When I realized they weren’t, I ran from the storage room to my office, where I closed my door, sat down at my desk, and cried. I was humiliated and weirdly ashamed, and embarrassed that I was humiliated and weirdly ashamed.   I thought I was a badass. Being a victim didn’t fit my self-perception.

When the Chili Peppers’ then-manager knocked on my door a few minutes later, I stopped crying and let him in. He offered an apology that sounded memorized; it was one he’d obviously offered many times before. The A&R guy apologized after the Chili Peppers left, and I decided to get over it.  I told myself that I knew what I was getting into when I started working in the music business. I was used to the shit that happened  late at night,  back in Boston, when I was wasted  and hanging out at gigs and after show parties. I wasn’t cool with any of it, but I accepted it, and even though the incident with the Chili Peppers  took  place when I was an executive at a major label, sober and doing my job at 2:00 in the afternoon, I decided to accept that, too. It was just the way things were.“

For all you cognitively impaired stans out there who like to turn a blind eye to the many inconvenient facts being presented over the past few months, and who continue to blindly praise Harry’s PR scam of a relationship with Olivia Wilde, ignorantly positing that she has done nothing wrong in order to spare your fave any criticism in relation to her, please hypothetically think of the Anthony Kiedis debacle like the scenario I’ve outlined out below. That is, if you semi-literate sheep are capable of comprehending anything other than “Harry Styles Is Perfect!”

If at 50 years old he proudly dates an 18-year-old and out in the open, God only knows what he is still doing behind the scenes.

This should all matter to anyone who claims to be a fan of the golden boy Harry Styles, because Harry is purposefully platforming and lending a stratospheric level of exposure to a woman who openly praises a rapist year after year across social media, who has a close connection to alleged serial rapist Paul Haggis both onscreen and off, and a woman who was even more intimately tied to another rapist and serial predator in Harvey Weinstein, even being name-dropped in an allegation against him before the 2017 exposé dropped.

A so-called feminist who would not condemn Weinstein despite his predatory and bullying behavior being an open secret in Hollywood for years, (and despite her quickly attacking people online who she disagrees with politically.) And also a woman who hired a Kroll for her upcoming film DWD despite that family’s dark legacy of profiting off of smearing and silencing Weinstein’s victims.
