Two days ago someone commented this on my Holivia post:
It hurts to see Harry resorting to this. It really does. This does not have the desired effect they may’ve hope for. They look super wooden, unattractive, cringey, and transparent. My heart aches for him so badly.

This is sad for me in a lot of ways. Mainly because it screams STAGED, it screams FUCK YOU, to certain people (including their critics in the media and the fandoms, including ours) but worst of all, it was so utterly predictable a next move that it was foretold two days before it happened. It also demonstrates an old dog using old tricks. This is such a sorry replica of the Hendall Yacht Trip that it makes me actually feel bad for them.
The half-wit Zstans who stalk this website trying to compare Harry’s PR yacht trip to the things Zayn has done (such as an engagement and a baby) and thinking they’re making valid points is sickening.
Again, Harry EXPOSING himself for all the world to see in 2019 on National Coming Out Day and implicating Zayn in Fine Line, wearing a dress on the cover of Vogue, painting his nails, and wearing purses, and then RETREATING back to an occasional PR stunt once he was REJECTED and watched the man he loves HAVE A BABY, while staying single for long stretches of time while his man is with a female who flaunts him 24/7, wrote about being lonely, and is still dealing with internalized homophobia from the man he loves, is in no way comparable to Zayn being the one with deep rooted internalized homophobia (which affects Harry’s behavior) stringing Harry along, choosing to be with females for years on end, and having babies while doing impotent little shit to try to stay connected to Harry. These situations are not comparable when it comes to “baiting”. One guy looks dead inside and at his wit’s end, and is barely capable of kissing a female convincingly in public. The other is having babies.

I kno this might sound rude but I don’t get this whole “queer baiting” stuff. First, what’s even wrong with it? Are they saying he is leading them on? How? Bc he is playing a gay man in two movies, or what? I really don’t understand. He has never officially label himself anything. This industry is built on “baiting” all types of ppl. It’s what gives them jobs. Not that I even think he is, bc IMO I think he just wants to be free to do what he wants, have fun, not take everything so seriously. And honestly, Harry baits straight men as well. He just gives off a very sexy kind handsome thing that can and will bait anyone. I sry if I sound rude but I honestly don’t see it. These photos make me a bit nervous and conflicted.
On one hand I see this as a reason for many to accuse him of queer-baiting. Something many artists are doing at the moment simply for clout and to gain a larger fan-base.
On the other hand, even if he was straight (which none of us believe), at least he is still open in showing support for the lgbtq community.
I’m just conflicted on how this pr move will make him look in the big picture. But also excited for his tour and to see how he acts while touring.

Usually when Harry is kissing someone he puts his hand on the person face. For example when he was kissing James. So I kinda feel like this is a pr stunt. Also some times it seems like he wants to get away from her.
What’s makes me feel more uncomfortable is people really believing this is a real and genuine relationship. Like people saying “omg they’re so cute” or “he looks so happy so I’m happy for them” And I’m here wondering if we’re all looking at the same pictures or people really all buying into this?? Like what?! 😵💫You can clearly see the apathetic vibe from these pictures and especially from Harry. He looks soo uninterested and empty. And this literally breaks my heart. There are many reasonable and probable reasons for this pr, but is it honestly that much worth it as this point?? Cause this pr relationship is by the worst and most negative one that really is giving Harry a bad image and not only to his fans but from the general public. I hope and pray it ends soon and or Harry runs away from this woman as far as possible. For his own reputation and sanity.

💔 I don’t know why I’m getting this feeling that maybe H is doing this to show Z , to make him jealous or something, because when on Perry’s birthday , Z kissing her , that pic came out , H was not at all happy about it.
He looks absolutely miserable. And yeah I agree with the word “soulless”. Zayn ruined him. That baby news and all the ZiGi antics have hurt Harry more deeply than any of us could have known. He looked happier on set working that on vacation with his girlfriend. He looks adrift and lost. No recent picture of them together does he look happy in. His eyes are lifeless and dull and he seems gone. Completely vacant and detached. How do you kiss someone and looks so uninterested? I hope he stops this charade soon, before he destroys himself. He’s always so sunny and optimistic and the way he looks right now truly has me worried about his mental state.

There’s a series on Netflix called Firefly Lane. In a subplot, there are two male friends who it is revealed are in a secret relationship as teenagers. When one returns home from college, the other thinks the relationship will continue as he has waited for him. But the friend says he is married to a woman and what they did was when they were young, bored and experimenting when young. This guy said he was also scared by AIDS (as his return was during that time). This depressed the one who waited. He had one other male relationship but decided to buy in to what society and family wanted and he wed and had a family. Years later, he told his wife and family and his wife put him out. I know this was a long summary but this automatically made me think of H and Z. I especially began to wonder if Z just saw this as something they did when they were younger and not now.
I also wanted to add to my last post that I find it slightly odd but perhaps it means nothing, that these pictures are all out in Italy. AD mentioned this in the OP. Yes we know Harry loves Italy but it comes straight (excuse the pun) after the MP Italian trip to film the scenes with David snd all the positive publicity at that time. Seeing them holding hands, arms around each other. It is like someone thought oooh no, a bit too controversial, like the Vogue dress scandal last year. We need to have H out here with his arms around a woman not a man even if it was for a movie. Can’t have that narrative going on can we? So, keep the romantic Italian background and insert female love interest instead, keep it nice and hetero. I am so angry I am sorry. What this screams loudest is an public attempt to quash queries on H being other than straight. Is that because of MP role (which may well be super realistic) or because of something else that might be happening? Comparing Olivia hugging Harry vs Olivia hugging Jason….it’s like night and day. With Harry she seems so platonic with her emotions/actions. She definitely doesn’t give off the same vibe with Jason. With Jason u felt the love in hers eyes and she looked more into him. It shows me more reasons why she’s in this for a professional agenda.

I think new music will be here. What’s the narrative? Who did he write it for? Kendall, Camille and now Olivia for his 3 albums. I am just excited for the new music and clearly it is written for the same person as before. If it was someone truly new, then he would not need this showcase.
