For years since One Direction was formed, Zayn had always been an anomaly as a result of his unique musical inspirations and tastes. Through the years we learned he was heavily influenced growing up by Boys II Men among other artists. Each time the boys were asked about their favorite boybands or musical inspiration, he would always be sure to mention Boys II Men (a popular old school R&B group.)
Over the years, Harry chose to adopt many of Zayn’s opinions, preferences, habits, particularly his musical interests. Before long, Harry would also site Boys II Men as the greatest boyband of all time.
